Pressing the Reset Button

It has been a couple of months since I posted something on this website. It has also been a couple of months since I released my last video on YouTube. Something bothered me for a while now: The fact that my content is straight garbage from my point of view. It wasn’t always like this, but the feeling grew over time. Especially, since I started to change my entire life around. On social media there is so much noise and so many guide videos exist how to exploit the algorithm, when in reality it comes down to being extremely passionate about a project and presenting it with all authenticity and integrity. At least for me clicks and followers don’t mean success. It only means, that you can get paid by the platform. In reality having my own products and advertising them on these platforms is most likely a better course. Then I don’t rely on metrics, but on reputation. Something I can understand and something I am willing to burn my hands for.

So far, I released a lot of gaming content. Guides, thoughts, some attempts of having a podcast, you name it, but all of them don’t reflect my need for an artistic approach. All of them don’t reflect my need to be competitive. But how can I be competitive, when I work full-time and study besides my jobs? There is almost no time left to either play the games or produce content. Content creation is a full-time job as well, especially early on. You need consistency, and I can’t see myself uploading 3 videos per week with the amount of workload I am currently under. This workload won’t change in the next 4 to 5 years and my only chance is to build on top of it.

My past content feels like weight I have to cut completely. Playing video games is not my purpose anymore. It felt great to challenge myself and others in all these years. Starting with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, then Diablo 2, World of Warcraft, Diablo 3, but also titles like League of Legends and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. At the age of 39, my goal in gaming has shifted from being a talented and skillful player to becoming a successful business owner. I want to run my own organization and I want to own a couple more businesses related to esports and gaming. I want to work with people who want to work with me to create something people remember. I want to make a difference in this world.

I am not 100% sure how this journey will look, but I invite you to join me on this trip. In order to make space for new videos and streams not only on my channels but also in my head, I decided to delete all my 306 videos on YouTube and most of my clips and highlights on Twitch. I will update my channel descriptions and then I will start with content that will be a lot different from what you know from me. This website has to be restructured as well, in order to make it a helpful tool.

Thanks for your time and a happy new year!
